It sounds as if there is no other cure but to shut down that email address of yours and get a new one. Then try to be more cautious next time about who you correspond with, on the internet.. It sounds like you probably asked for some free informationrmation or free something or other on the internet, or for gambling information or porno or something else that appeals to the masses, and you got on somebody’s sucker list, and they passed your address on to others. Next time you want to inquire about anything on the internet, where you don’t want them to learn your address, then open up a special email address with one of the free email services, so you can shut it down whenever you want to, and keep another email address spam-free for your trustworthy contacts.

Change your E Mail Settings to Level High or only Contacts are allowed. Or make a new Email address . and keep the old one for spammers and websites you are unsure of.
