Sam, I’ve searched all around for a quick cash advance online, and the best one I found, and that I’ve used a several times was http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Payday-... – the interest rate is acceptable and I got my money in less than 24 hours. I hope this helps you, best of luck!
no. sorry, the credit card companies have it where if there are different interest rates on one account, then the money you pay each month goes to the lowest interest. That is how they get people suckered in. The best thing to do is to transfer that balance to another credit card with a special promotion. You can save a lot of interest. Never to cash advanced off of a credit card unless it is an emergency. They will charge you over 20% and it will take forever to pay it off. My credit card companies send me promotions in the mai to write a check with a lower interest rate. That is better than cash advances. Try to keep your credit card balance under 50%.
Credit card companies are crafty. They send you these fine prints that we never read. If you did, you will discover that the first (old) borrowing gets your monthly payment. Then lowest interest gets your payment. Then it graduates to higher interest rates next. CC companies are tricky. Be aware.
In the case of cash advance, the interest charge starts from day 1. Not the 58-day grace period usually given on purchases. (reduced to 39 these days).
Lesson to be learned? Never, never get cash advance. It is poison.
Bottom line? No, you can’t.
You may send a written request with your payment to apply a portion to the cash advance Found this in the original paperwork from when I opened my charge card account. Realize you payment must include minimum for the charges and the extra earmarked for you cash advance.
Credit Card Agreement usually says something like…they put the balance as a whole and compound it at the respective interest rate. So, in other words, not possible. Unless, of course, transferring balance might work.
lesson 1… NO CREDIT CARDS, CASH IS KING
